Code of Conduct
It is common today that events and festivals have code of conducts, to ensure a respectful and save environment for all attendees.
As an example, here is the current code of conduct for OuiShare Fest:
OuiShare Fest is a collaborative, inclusive and participatory event with a high community spirit. Be respectful of other people; respectfully ask people to stop if you are bothered; and if you can't resolve an issue contact the organizers. If you are being disrespectful and creating a problem, we will have to ask you to leave the conference immediately.
All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody.
OuiShare Fest is an international event with a diverse and global community. It aims to connect people, co-create, inspire and spread positive vibes. It is a conference open to the diversity of skills, talents, experiences, cultures, and opinions.
OuiShare Fest is an inclusive event, respecting all individuals, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
- Be kind, courteous, helpful and smile.
- Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, harassing, hateful, or physically threatening behavior, speech, and imagery.
Offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
We believe peer to peer discussions, feedback, and corrections can help build a stronger, safer, and more welcoming community.
Please bring any concerns to the immediate attention of the event team. You can ask for a team member at the reception desk of the venue or you may email one of the contacts below. We thank our participants for your help in keeping the event welcoming, respectful, and friendly to all participants.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Conference participants violating this Code of Conduct may be expelled from the conference without a refund.
